According to the "half your age +7" rule, you're fine if you're 22 or under (or 23 for dating someone who's 18.5). After that, the older you are, the more unusual it is. I don't think there's anything inherently wrong with it though. I'm almost 24, and I'd be open to dating an 18 year-old if there was some compatibility there.
From a man's perspective its all about biology
https://www.theguardian.com/world/2018/ ... -in-crisisThe article/research comes across, to me, as rather biased.
Quite an arrogant male putdown, imo.
I don't think much of "The Guardian", btw.
Perhaps masculine insecurity "Is a Thing", in part due to Political Correctness.
Men are uncertain what is and isn't acceptable in this changing social environment.
Not that I am in the dating game,
But things like gender diversity, pronouns required, outdated values being considered sexist.
Heaven help you if you offer to open a door for a woman, these days. Well, get a contract of consent first, and you are OK.
Isn't it any wonder that many men's testicles are shrivelled raisins these days?
Personally, I think the article/research ignores the influence of the evolutionary process.
It ignores that for much of human history, people didn't live that long, compared to today,
And they had to get "A Wriggle On" early if they wanted to make a significant contribution to the population growth.
Social indoctrination suppresses human impulses/instincts,
But for most of us, the instincts are still there in the chains of social expectations.
Nietzsche brought this suppression, to our attention nicely.
Meh,
I'm not impressed with the presentation of the article,
And suspect the integrity of the interpretation of the findings.
I can't be bothered doing more research into the matter.
