Boo, all I'm ever trying to do is counter your (and others') statements along the lines of "I know a woman who does X, so that implies that all women do X."

I've never used the word "all" - I use 'a lot', 'many' and the like; nor I made any conclusion based on one.

Actually, 96% of Americans age 70-80 were married at least once in their lives according to the 2004 census. And according to the National Institutes of Health, 2/3 of all Americans are overweight or obese. Those statistics prove that the large majority of fat people do indeed experience marriage, if not quite 99%.

Indeed, it seems the ability to fit into social circles and hierarchies is the most useful, one that we apparently lack so I am more inclined to believe that's why many men struggle to initiate or maintain a relationship.

1. that is people who were baby boomers, different times different society.
2. how can that be if like 60% of aspies will never find a relationship. I don't rember the statistic so the 60% is just a guess.
3. were they fat when they got married. is being fat what ended the marriage?

people back in the 20s-60s those who are now turning 80ish were thin as most of the population back then was. I know a few who became fat in ther latter years not their 20-30s ages.

I can imagine Kurgan shouting at women to get in the gym or lose some weight, I wouldn't of thought of him the the most tactful human in history.

No, the whole point of this thread is trying to change a girl, I wouldn't bother with that instead I just go for women who are already extremely skinny or have a healthy diet, my current eats very healthy and she has a great skinny figure so I couldn't really see myself ever dating someone who wasn't skinny.

well then i hope you never get sick or have to go on medication that makes you gain weight, or that your partner is less shallow than you are and won't leave you if you do get fat, otherwise you're screwed.

aging and sickness happen, people: and those who care about how skinny you are rather than what sort of a person you are won't stick around for it when it does. so good luck. :thumright:

Maybe. But they have the right to do that if they want. If someone changes and that's a dealbreaker, you can't obligate the other person to stick around.

I'm not going to go so far as to make a judgment call on whether that's the right thing to do or not, or whether it's a good thing to do, I'm just saying it's within a person's right to do so.

I can't help but link certain attitudes/behaviors with body type/looks, and that has been my dating experience. I mean, some physical types just exude evil from their very pores. Think Amber Portwood.

Acht, don't say that, I worked hard to lose 116 pounds and now you're telling me it was for nothing?

Worked hard? I thought you took pills.

Probably somewhere between 500 and 750. Did you walk at 3mph?

Good point. Let me rephrase that. If fat guys get girls did I drug myself thin for nothing?

Also a bit of effort was still required. I have to go for a brisk walk several times per day and my 89 hour fast was hard even with pills (harder than it used to be, when I fat I could fast without feeling feint (and that was before I started taking pills). Sometimes I can't get pills for months at a time and restricting without the pills is really hard. It's like I lose a quarter of the weight for four times as much effort. Anyway, I blew my last hoarded pills in the last couple of weeks so now it's back to the no pills diet.

If you want to know the answers to such questions, perhaps you should download the MyFitnessPro app for your phone. It will tell you how many calories you get from each exorcise, calculated to your weight at the time (unfortunately, the lighter you get the less calories you burn from the same amount of exorcise and the less calories you can eat to still be losing weight). It also tells you how many calories are in each type of food, you can just type it in or use your phone's camera to scan the barcode (beats reading the label, converting from Joules to calories and finking out their serving suggestion is different to the amount contained in the packet).
