I object to the "you smell nice" shtick too because what guys don't realize is that if the girl wore perfume that day or got a new shampoo, she will wear that perfume or use that shampoo ad infinitum. Which I guess is OK but don't compliemnt someone on how they smell if they reek because that's how they'll smell for a heck of a long time.
