well i think everyone is shallow nowadays..! back in the good old days, women selected the most powerful men who would secure the future of her children... (not necessarily power as in strength) and guys selected based on beauty (without makeup on and surgery, beauty is actually a nice indicator of a woman's health and fitness), nice waist to hip, breasts etc...which indicated her capability of having children...

nowadays with all this plastic surgery and make up and high heels and fashion magazines and penis size obsession and breast enlargement.... i'm actually ashamed to be human anymore....!

But, generally speaking, those christian republicans are quite conservative and adhere more closely to traditional roles (male and female courtship... etc) and they shy away from sex crazed body-improvement through plastic surgery stuff due to their conservative and christian natures...

I think you are trying to have it both ways by decrying the over-sexualization of (I suppose in this case) women (but legimately men... it could, however, be argued that males have always been this way and women were given a social construct which shielded their otherwise wild behaviors) and then you decry those who are puritans compared to the aforementioned group.

I'm tempted to believe your suicide bombers connection - this should be blamed on certain aspects of culture just as in the West over-sexualization can be blamed on cultural shifts and deviations in norms
