Do you people consider me a loser?
I'd rather have a label like "Lovable", "Respectful", "Trustworthy", or even just plain-old "Pleasant".
But if you want "Loser" to be your only claim to fame, then that's your choice, and yours alone.

You are what you believe or perceive yourself to be, if you blame everything on your circumstances and never realize that you're in control of your fate and outlook, you're losing out on life.
See this is the thing. I'm not in control of anything. I can barely take care of myself living at home. My grandma takes care of a lot of stuff for me, stuff that I'm not mentally capable of.
I can't drive, and I wouldn't be able to work effectively at a job around crowds of people. Heck I can barely bathe myself every 2-4 months, maybe even longer at times. When my grandma dies, I'll probably have to go to a homeless shelter, or beg one of my relatives to stay with them.
I'm not blaming it on circumstances, I'm blaming it on how pathetic and inadequate I am.
Dude, sounds cliche, but stop comparing yourself to others. You're not them. Just do what God wants you to do, ie, stop looking at pornography alot and your life might improve greatly. Let other people worry about themselves, just see what you'd like to change and "Just do it." Figure out a way to do what you want, and do it. Let the haters hate. Just do what God wants you to do, and what you wish for. Sometimes you find what you wish for isn't always good. I used to have a big social group, lots of "friends" etc, then I found out I just couldn't handle it. Just do anything to better yourself, join a gym, take some classes to, say, learn to repair motors or draw, just acquire knowledge and do stuff, learn any skills you can to add to your repitoire.
It simply does not matter if you're a "loser" or not, just do what God wants you to do and follow your dreams. Oh, and bathe often. It's quite helpful in lots of areas. You can get yourself sick if you don't bathe.

i had dysthymia, in a manner that sounds very similar to you, at various periods in my life. the first bout was violently snapped out of me by being forced into the military. subsequent bouts were treated successfully with medication under a therapist's care. i would highly recommend that you seek out therapy if you haven't already done so. i'm praying for you.
Yes you're a loser because all you to is b***h about how much your life sucks without doing anything to fix it. Seriously most of the things you b***h about are basic things. Develop a hygiene routine it's not that hard to do. And there's plenty of jobs out there that don't deal with people much nor require much of an education. Cleaning office's and schools at night are a perfect example of this. Or get a 3rd shift job stocking shelves at a local grocery store. You're a loser because you bring it on yourself. In addition quit posting about how much your life sucks everyday, if you keep dwelling on it instead of fixing why it sucks you'll just get more and more miserable.
Thanks for being honest and calling me a pathetic loser.
Does it make you feel good to be abused?

Self loathing is as addictive as any drug. I've been in a position where you are, where it feels right to hate myself, and the only thing that makes sense or makes the world seem stable/right is to hate myself more. Then if I tell myself I am being weak and need to fight it, I hate myself MORE FOR being weak, and it actually only feeds the cycle. I crave other people to tell me negative things about myself to solidify my self-image.
You have to fully realize and understand all this. Just think about it. Analyze the situation without emotion.
I have. People have been telling me this my whole life. (that a I'm ugly, slow and stupid bum that wouldn't amount to nothing) When people keep telling you the same thing over and over again it's HARD not believe it, and It's not like the evidence isn't there. Numerous times I've had people ask me was I in special ed or were my parents crackheads. (My dad was/is)
Maybe the things you thought about yourself wasn't true. You seem like a strong-willed person, maybe you were just in a bad place for a while.
In my case it's all true. I am a 25 year old ugly, stinky, poor, slow, stupid, uneducated, jobless, annoying, and irritating bum that still lives with his parents and can barely take care of himself.
I am a pathetic loser that has no future.

You're a loser because of your attitude. Instead of bitching about nothing ever working, how much your life sucks. Go out and FIX those things. Is there a reason why you don't bathe? I've known plenty of people who have been in bad situations including ones worse then yours yet they didn't go online and b***h about it all the time. Fix your issues and your attitude.

BTW, I'm a loser because of who I am, not because of my attitude. I wish people would stop hiding behind that, it's such a cop out. It's hard being positive and having a good attitude when you're as pathetic as me.

I can tell you're a strong willed and intelligent person from the way you write. The person you describe yourself to be would not be able to write the way you do. Having problems with every day tasks (such as bathing) and employment/study does not make you a bum, a loser, or stupid. I myself used to have problems with bathing in that I would only wash my hair once every two weeks when I was a teenager because I was not good at personal hygiene, and it took a long time to improve. I am better today in that I am clean, but compared to your average 23 year old girl I am not "well groomed". This does not make me a bum or a loser. These things can and do improve with time/practice/effort.
What other people tell you is not necessarily the truth. When I was in the negative thought loop you are in, I was verbally abused by my mother (who I now understand was mentally sick at the time) over a period of several years. She would constantly tell me day in and day out that I was lazy, selfish, etc etc. I believed it for long enough that I then became my own worst critic, and ended up in the place you are in now.
Also - an unintelligent person would not be able to write the way you do. Here's to logic!

You'd be surprised how much trouble some people can have with certain things even when they sound perfectly rational and capable on these forums - I know I was. I've observed several individuals here who write well, not only in terms of grammar and spelling and coherence but also in terms of expressing intelligent thought. Yet they struggle tremendously with understanding other very basic things that a borderline aspie like myself would take for granted. That being said, if you can form rational and reasonable thoughts and express them through writing, you should be able to at least do something with your life.

Referring to the bolded statement, that's what I meant. As I said before, one can be an intelligent thinker and yet still struggle with basic hygiene. This doesn't mean they are a failure or a loser.

Then work on the s**t that you think makes you a loser. Get your GED, get a job, bathe daily, there's lots of things you can do to make your life better. And honestly you'll feel better doing something about rather then bitching about it on a daily basis on this website.
