She wants something serious, but life may get in the way.
I will start off by telling you the long story short about what happened to the confused girl that didn't know what she wanted from over a month ago in my "Should I stay or Should I go" thread. We're friends now and keep in touch and hang out on occasion. she went back to her bf and realized what she put herself through and took responsibility for her actions. She now realizes what she is in control of: herself. Does she still want me? Don't care to ask. She is also aware of this new situation I am in.
I meet a girl a couple weeks ago. Actually this girl has seen me at several meetups and wanted to talk to me for a while, but she saw me with the confused girl and didn't know when or if to approach. She is in a good place and wants to fulfill her life. But she liked what she saw the instant she met me and talking to me made her feel more attracted to me. In fact, she said straight up she would like to pursue something more serious with me. Trust me, after what I have been through and after she straight up told me she wanted me and to take things slowly and try for something serious, how could I say no to someone that knows what they want?
We have taken things slow due to what she wants and the fact that I will be out of the country for a couple weeks. Where I prefer to take things slow has to do with the fact that my last few flings involved sex rather quickly. We came pretty close in the last couple nights when hanging out in going that far as well. It has been a pretty interesting and enjoyable experience so far as we have been able to hang out and talk as well. Noone else (not even the confused girl) has come on as strongly as this girl has.
She drops the bombshell on me today. I was aware of her vacation plans in the next month. I found out that she plans on going on several of them throughout the rest of the year with each one planned to last three weeks or more (all related to her interest/hobby/passion). I am stuck here working because I realistically can't afford to travel as often as her and she didn't ask me anyway. She also mentions that she wishes to move away if things go as planned in the next year. She might actually want something serious, but I have to be very realistic about it. The confused girl being a good friend did tell me that she didn't understand the decision making on her part and why announce these plans to me after telling me that she wanted a serious relationship.
Despite what I said, this gives me one option:
Let nature run it's course and see how things play out. After all, anything can happen. This can result in someone getting hurt considering that other opportunities may come up and we might want to explore them rather than wait for eachother. My experience with the confused girl tells me that understanding eachother and getting over our differences can result in a friendship at least. I do know for sure I have that friend around. Why not make more of them if this really doesn't work out.
The key thing to remember here is that self-fulfillment trumps all. Everything else is just a compliment. She told me she didn't expect to want to me as badly as she does which makes things difficult for her. However, it isn't going to stop her plans and why should it anway?
