It is so unbelievable the share amount of people who never spent a day of loneliness in there lives. Seem to believe that I should be happy with my life. Freedom, no real responsibility and extre money with a part-time business. It is a nightmare, and it hurts like hell. It might be worth it if I know that I could get a vacation from this feeling but I cannot, it follows me everywhere.

Do you long for the close companionship of a spouse/significant other, or is it people companionship (the lack thereof) which is also painful?

The latter can be alleviated by joining a team sport or an activity which requires close physical contact (e.g. martial arts). The former... Well, that's why we're here on "Love and Dating"

That's one of those regular social things I can not really understand. If I had that feeling, I seriously could not identify it.
I want a boyfriend, and explore all of that. Yet, I never came to the conclusion "I need another person for the sake of having one". Just like making new friends, it never occurs to me; I've always liked being alone, which I suppose is not the same as loneliness, or someone correct me on that. Making new friends was always organic, and they stuck or did not; I can not think of a way to make it happen otherwise.

Aspie_Chav, I don't know if there is anyone out there who never spent a day of loneliness in their lives.

I am very lonely now. I often wake up with this heaviness in my chest and everyday is like being onstage to mask the loneliness that faces me when I come back to an empty apartment.

Hang in there.

to the OP

to be honest, i've never known of anyone who has ever claimed to never have been lonely even for a single day. i think some people will always bulls*** in public about how many times they've been out or people they know.

partly i think the problem is that people watch too much TV: adverts are a bad influence on us! they portray sociable people and relationships as the ultimate goal in life.

the info i gave might be completely irrelevant but i thought it was worth shedding light on

I used to be oblivious before, but when all my friends got hitched and for one reason or another could not longer be the same friends then I began to realise my world becoming more lonely

Everyone feels lonely at some point, but few admit it.
