How come some people do things at the same certain stage...
Of life?
If life is not always in our control, how come I've seen people do things at certain stages of life compared to me and others like learning to drive at 17, graduating from university at 22, getting married to a long term partner in the late 20s, having first child in the early 30s.
None of those things I did at those ages. I did automatic driving lessons in my mid 20s and passed at 28, I never finished or graduated at university and I started when I was 22. And as I've said in previous threads I haven't done those other things either. I met someone at 24 I think I was, she was eager for a relationship with me but I wasn't so instead we remained friends.
I'm told time and again that everyone does things at different stages of life but I still feel I've seen a lot of people still doing these things at the same life stage. That's why it's hard to not compare myself or feel like I'm "falling behind".

I know exactly how you feel. All my NT friends have gotten married and some have had kids too. Where as I am still single and feel increasingly and horribly alone. I feel like I've failed at life and will never amount to anything because of what I am and my past mistakes. I feel I've made all the wrong decisions and its too late.
I don't know how to 'fix' myself- I'm stuck working part time jobs and living off benefits and might lose the later soon (thanks a lot, Trump and GOP). Even if I don't, I feel no woman would want to marry someone like me thanks to how transactional everything is and how distorted social expectations and wealth have become, thanks in part to social media.
This is something I struggle with too. I don't understand how people did all those things.
I finished school later than my classmates because I had to take longer to graduate. Then didn't know what to study, started a history degree in University but couldn't finish. Finally went back to study and graduated at 27. Got my driving lisence at 32, but haven't driven since. Stuck in job search for years and not progressing in illustration either, like some of the people I studied with. Never able to rent a flat or other things. I just look at others in their 20s now and don't understand how they are doing things at the expected stage.
