Confidence around people you know

Well the question is pretty simple, Are you confident around people you know really well??

Yes. Even though I will still have my social AS traits, I simply put more effort into trying to socialize with them.

Yes, but then I have known them for decades.

I am quite comfortable around some of my newer friends too though I can be quiet naive and maybe that is why 8O

I'm more comfortable around those good friends who will tell me when I say something that is socially wrong (either unintentionally hurtful or situationally inappropriate) because the other alternative is for them to close off and send those non-verbal signals... which only make me confused.

yes even though thereis the odd person who looks likes they will severe your spine with a spade if they feel downgraded in any form

Yes, once they are aware of my Aspie traits and accept them, I'm totally comfortable. :)

yes... but then the problem is i can be too confident and maybe go over the top. im generally not a verry good person socially when i gain confidence. do all the wrong things at all the wrong times. id say im mainly anoying if anything... id love to controle this... but for now i simply shut off my confidence and try to ignore that person. even though some of my friends LIKE this kind of behavour?! mad mad people ;p

It's really weird, I pretty much know if I'm gonna be comfortable with someone within the first few days of knowing them. The others I could work with or know for years, yet still be unable to hold the most mundane of conversations with them. :shrug:
