Basically I've got one really good friend, which over the past four years we've gotten to know each other quite well, to the point where we have ended up discussing things in depth that we wouldn't with other friends.

But when I tried to put past her an idea on the way I function, more for my benefit than hers as I'm trying to figure myself out, basically she said I was blaming ideas/concepts for why I'm the way I am. <this kind of hurt>
I explained to her that I'm not saying this so I have something to blame, but there was no other way I could put it without me saying "...I think this functions like this, which is why I do this..." for example. And in saying so I added that in order to fix something you have to know how it works first, so I'm not trying to blame anything.
We have had lots of philosophical conversations along these lines, but she has never said anything this harsh to me before. Why would she react like this now?

This doesn't sound like a big deal.
When I saw the title I was thinking like:
"I'm really depressed!".
"Because you have it so hard LOL."

Well, to be honest this isn't the only thing just the latest, and since shes really my only friend and that we have become quite close I take what she says straight to the heart.
