Life through my eyes...

I see you standing, laughing, having a good time
while I sit here by myself examining this lie
I could walk on over just to talk to you
but I can't be sure of anything you'd do

See the truth of the matter is I'm extremely shy
and while my friends might say different, there's no doubt in my mind
I know that sometimes I have a tendency of being weird
People stare from all directions and it gets me pretty scared

I'm stuck in this fear of other people's perceptions
Yet I can't get past the fact I desire that deception
At least when I'm alone I know nobody can hurt me
and I also realize that nobody can desert me

If I never give a chance to a soul in sight
then I never have to argue, fuss, or fight
See there's no reason to change cause I'm happy with who I am
Too bad in my opinion solitary's my best friend

So you can say what you want and I'll give it a listen
but for me to make a promise is something that you're wishin
I wont make a decision until the future is futile
Look at me and you'll see nothing more than a confused child.

Vile and jaded from the past that he lived through
