I'm from Glasgow, but have often moved. I'm eternally grateful that I was born here as my first name is John, not lavatory, loo, toilet.....

I live in London, I have been here two years now but was born in Yorkshire, and have lived in Essex, Wales, and Yorkshire again.

As for the word to use for a toilet, I disagree with vetivert about the name "toilet" being the common one. "Loo" is common and I really do not like it.

I use "toilet" and "bog" about the same amount, and "loo" very occaisionally.
