Autistic breaks Rubik’s Cube Speed Record

21-year-old speedcuber, Max Park, who was diagnosed with autism at the age of 2, is now a part of the Guinness World Records Hall of Fame inductees.

Known as 'The Wonder of Cubing World', Park broke a Guinness World Record by solving a 3x3x3 Rubik's cube in just 3.13 seconds on June 11. He beat the world record that was previously set by China's Yusheng Du in 2018, who solved the cube in 3.47 seconds.

The Hall of Fame includes the world's most iconic Guinness World Records title holders and includes history's most incredible achievements. Max Park is one of the eight Hall of Fame inductees. He's served as a role model for people around the world and has not let autism get in the way of achieveing several prestigious world records and achievements for speed cubing.

Max is also an official ambassador for Rubik's.

This Korean-American cubing prodigy has also introduced a new trend to the cubing world called 'A0100' that is a key test in cubing to measure how good someone is. A0100 involves solving the cube 100 times, picking out the best and worst times, and calculating the average time.

I'm waiting for someone to demand autistics be banned from competing in these sorts of competitions.

Many years ago there was a game show on called "Make Me Laugh." Contestants would watch a performer try to make them laugh, and if someone couldn't hold it in any longer and blurted out even a slight chuckle, they were eliminated. The last one to hold off on laughing would win. I'd always think of how I could've easily won on that show, as I would not have needed to restrain myself. I could think something is funny, even wildly hilarious, but rarely do I vocally react. I also thought the gimmicks on that show weren't all that funny anyways. If that show ever comes back I'm going to consider getting on it.
