I think i miss them but maybe not in the normal way? idk I do sometimes wanna hang out but it's big hassle to do so and have to go in car long way.

I am very much the same. I don't get lonely easily, some days the only interaction I need or want is with the barista while I am getting a hot cup of brown.

Yup , me too... but I think alot of the lack of missing people started very young , In my parents home it was generally safer to not be around other family members. But I was still naive .. Thought maybe I was suppose to be missing people. Maybe missed 3 people in my entire life .Two best friends and a Girlfriend. Thought I suppose to miss family members . Oopps one other Did miss my Dad. Rest in Peace for all the above . May have gotten to know a few ,here I could miss ?

I'm glad this thread exists. I thought I was very strange for generally not missing anyone. Under rare, rare circumstances, yes I can miss someone. Somehow it's really validating that it's not just me.

When the people above commented on their parents - yes I can totally relate, similar parent situation for me.

The only people I really miss have been my girlfriends. I think the reason why is because they were the only people I felt majorly close to. I never had a great or close relationship with anyone in my family or with my friends like I would see on TV sitcoms such as Full House or Family Matters. I was seeing my parents three times a year at most since I moved across the country to be with my current girlfriend before Covid started. I see my parents a less than once a year now due to my body not being up for traveling. I call my parents about once a week but it feels like I'm doing a chore because I dislike being on the phone & tend to be quiet. I'm not majorly bothered about not being a good son.
