The only physical sign I have for sure is tears. However it is a little confusing because I have tears when I am sad, when I am angry and when I break bones.
Happiness is a little overwhelming for me so I do have a physical sensation but I can't say what it is because I am usually hitting my head to help it.
Confused and frustrated are also emotions I have but I don't feel anything physical for those.
Is lonely an emotion? I think maybe sadness is what I feel when I am lonely.
I feel heavy when I am depressed. But I don't know what comes first, the heaviness or the knowing I am depressed.

Sometimes I cry when I get totally angry, especially if my anger is due to a particularly emotionally-charged situation. I hate it. That's not what I want to do. Grrrrr... I want to be angry and look serious and put the fear of God into people. Not bawl...

I apparently put the fear of god into people just by being in the same room with them. My therapist and others say I have a poker face, yet still others accuse me of criticizing them. I wouldn't care, except that usually I haven't said anything...
Yesterday I was very tired and the person driving me asked if I was angry. I said no but she insisted I had angry look on my face.
I just don't get it.

I would like to expand on my first post here in some ways.

I could not vote on the poll because I do not think that merely reacting angrily to certain things (both internal and/or external), as well as responding 'inappropriately' to external stimuli necessarily counts as an 'emotional life'.

Generally, I view 'emotion' as resembling the cheesy sentimentalistics of inferior pop music lyrics or those quotes in Hallmarks greetings cards.

I must have emotions, else where does the anger, frustration and rage come from? I think it is just a bit one-sided though and much of it is in reaction to things going on around me which are often things that are or seem to be beyond my immediate control.

One way I have found of trying to avoid letting things control my life is by simply 'opting out' of situations in which that is likely to happen. This is not a viable medium-long-term solution though.

I don't think there's any doubt that we all experience emotions, it's just that some of us have a helluvalot of difficulty getting the right words and the right facial expression for the right emotion at the right time!

I think my behavior is way too influenced by emotions - namely negative ones.

i have a lot of Bones McCoy and a decent amount of Spock too... in other words, i'm super emotional but also tend to try to look at things from a logical POV.

Agreed.
I have plenty of emotions. But I don't project them onto others (empathy) and I expect others to believe what I tell them vs what they see, which is me with an expression that doesn't match what what they expect to see.

My head is currently a chaos of emotions and the only one I can identify is depression, I think. I think depression because I am feeling hopeless. The rest is a wash. I am not sure if any of this is driving my behavior.

The issue is the person who has been treating me for aspergers now says she is not sure i have it. no words, no emoticons for this feeling.

I think I am irritable too, because all the sounds in here are driving me crazy and currently I am thinking about bombing the place.
The possibilities: a bat, a baby bird, or some belt in my air conditioner. I am able to hear frequencies no one else can so no one can help me find it. Of course, I could be hallucinating...

The sound was the DVD recorder belt.

Now suspecting the depression is related to my sugar addiction. It only happens with pocessed sugar. can't stop eating it, and when I don't eat it or don't eat as much, then get depressed.

Thinking about finding a new therapist is also depressing, not because I like this one (I do like her but I'm not particularly attached to her), but because of my social skills it's going to take me anywhere from 6 months to a year to get a new one, and the more I ask of them, the more likely it is that there won't be much of a choice. A lot of therapists are afraid of me because of my intelligence level. Makes me feel a little like Frankenstein.

Is Frankenstein a feeling?
