OK, my neighbors across the road have sheep, among other animals of that type. It was very interesting when I first moved here, but I'm used to seeing in their huge field, different types of animals. Cows sometimes. Donkeys sometimes. Ponys sometimes. Sheep sometimes. Goats sometimes. Sometimes they get loose and people who live around here will catch them and bring them back to their owners. They are docile. It's fun.

But I digress.

It was just no longer interesting to look at them when I drove by. Nor when I walked by. I don't even bother to pet the ones with their heads sticking over or through the fence anymore. I've lost interest.

Until.............

I looked over there today and there were the sheep. Most of them were standing around doing sheep things. Like standing around. Over in the back of the field, by where they grow the Christmas trees, there was a hoop. It was several feet off the ground with a box or something leading up to it. There were two or three sheep down there randomly jumping through this hoop.

I had no idea that could happen. It seemed to be of their own volition because nobody else was around. Other sheep were away from them, standing. I have no idea why this was going on. I stopped and leaned over the fence and looked. I yelled at the sheep. I yelled "Hey! Sheep! SHEEP!" and I don't know why I did that because I don't know what I expected, but in a situation like that, I wing it. They didn't do anything except one group kept standing there while the other group jumped. They weren't going in a kind of order or line or anything. They were just taking turns or something it seemed.

I had to give this a lot of thought. Now, either this is some kind of sheep farming method I am not familiar with, and that is probably the case because I am not familiar with any kind of any farming methods at all. If it is not a regular sheep farming method, then these are the only things I can figure out.

1. They are training circus animals
2. These are those insomnia sheep that they are training for people to buy who can't sleep so they can count them.
3. The sheep are making some kind of statement on society where one group stands around, like, well, sheep, and the other sheep jump through hoops.

WTH were these sheep doing????
Will I see them eventually jumping through flaming hoops?
Will there ever be trampolines involved in this?
Why have the pony's there never done it?
Should I have the company that made the energy drink I had had earlier analyze their products in case I was dosed?
Should I just go check myself in somewhere at a psych hospital?

This was the first time I ever saw them jumping through a hoop!

I've seen lots of other animals out there. Those people raise them.

Turns out I'm not the only one who saw it! My daughters friend pointed it out to her when she was bringing her hoe from school.

I really want to know too now. I told my family about this, my daughter told my family about this. We want to KNOW!

I'm seriously thinking about maybe making a pot of chili and taking it over to the people's house tomorrow and saying "I brought you some chili. It's great! It's homemade with everything in it all fresh ingredients. It's a bribe to tell me why those sheep were jumping through the hoop!"

Wow, what an mystery, indeed! Hope you post the answer if you find out what's going on with that. My only guess is that maybe they're retired circus sheep. Or that they're actually aliens who just look like sheep and their inter-dimensional-hyperspace portal is broken.

Many animals play, you can even buy toys to facilitate it.

Here's some for horses

The sheep were probably French people in their last life, and having lived a life drowning in red tape and bureaucracy they are drawn to jumping through hoops.

I am joining the "PLEASE video and post the sheep" group.

As for the horse toys, my thoroughbred loved his jolly ball toy, and I taught a paint horse to play soccer with me.

**MUST SEE HOOP JUMPING SHEEP**
