I just want to complain about small talk.

So I am on the phone with my dad and he says, "All the kids are already going back to school soon." WHY DO I CARE? I am 31 years old and there are NO KIDS in my family. I really don't care what day kids go back to school. UGHHHHHHHHHHHH. Stupid casual banter!! !!

Sorry if I'm insensitive. So sue me.

Same here. I get so annoyed. How was my day? It was fine thank you. How was yours? It was fine too? Shocking. Well thanks for wasting twenty seconds of my life talking about something neither of us gave a f**k about...

think its pretty much what people say when they havent got anything good to say. but ive tryed to learn to be better at small talk seems to be going well so far

I have tried to take an interest in small talk and am good at faking it, but I really can't STAND it. Sometimes I won't say hi to people at work because I don't even want to go down that road.

i get what you mean im sometimes like that it seems pointless especially when i dont know the person much. but i need to do it sometimes as i get really lonely

I hate small talk, especially at work. Why do people feel the need to disturb silence?

Small talk at work is annoying, I can't do it, don't know how to talk about nothing. Which is why I hate going to other people for answers on how to do a certain thing, 'cause most people seem to add in a little small talk. Wonder how much more time people would have if they quit small talk?

I hate small talk when doing something.
