What is it that wrongplanet is lacking?

I would say a History forum (is this the Art, Literature, and music?)

Can anyone think of anything else?

Post on this thread.

Active NTs (who like us, of course). We don't seem to have a lot of active NTs, only Aspies.

Can't think of anything else.

That isn't a something that is built into the website; what I am asking is what should be added to the website that we don't already have?

Sorry dgd, I'll be specific then with a new idea (is that right?)

I wouldn't mind buttuns for BBCode either. Also, on another website forum I go to, there are functions like Glow and Shadow. May be going over-the-top with presentation, but I think it looks cool (make it available only for members with a certain post count, perhaps?)!

More Desktop stuff would be nice. Maybe someone could make a WP theme for Windows? (I wouldn't mind making one when I get back from Holland)

I'm handy when it comes to Windows Themes! I'll get started on it as soon as I get back from Holland. The only thing I need is a wallpaper. I mean, the one you can get is cool but... I dunno, something new would be nice. It'll be great, I promise!

The problem with this is that it could become very visually distracting for some people. I have been on forums where people post in colours such as yellow and orange or change colours with every line of text that they write. I have ended up leaving this place (even though I enjoyed reading the content) because it was too visually distracting.

I agree with adding the buttons for BBCode. They used to be here, but then they left. The only people who can do BBCode now are those who already know how to do it. Buttons would make it easier for members who are newer to forums and/or computers to post things like URLs.

Yeah, that was the point I was trying to get across. I can imagine that it'd get annoying like this.

I find it ironic that you use colour in your posts, by the way (but at least we can actually read it, unlike my example).

Although it is rather ironic, I have always used colour in my posts (both here and elsewhere). Usually it is dark green or dark blue, which are both easy to read. Awhile back, I told people that if it really bothered them to let me know via PM.

I also admin on another site and use differentiation of colours to let the members know when I am posting as an admin and when I am posting as a user. I use dark green as a user and red when I am posting something purely as an admin. Since many people are visual, it makes it easier for them to be sure.

I think there is a desktop theme, but I am not positive.

It seems that HTML and Forum Language (some of the features from both are blocked, such as color font, and embedding) are used in Wrong Planet, but some folks must abuse the privelage by posting inappropriate things, maybe this is why Alex has left this out of the site.

It all depends on what Alex might say about this.

I admin on another site that has similar layout to WP and HTML is blocked as default. There used to be buttons for font colour, size and bold/italic/underline, as well as for URLs and images. The BBCode still works (as is evident in my posts), but if you are going to use it, you need to know the proper tags because it is not going to be shown to you as you're posting.

just randomly listing stuff:

more emoticons
vbulletin
only 1 board theme
there isn't a 'whose on' at the bottom/top of the main forum thing

i think we just need more people and a better server.. it seems to crap out when 500+ are online at the same time

^That is true mik... for the old server. While you were away getting computer parts WP got upgraded to a new server, but it also happens to burn a hole in your online wallet (for alex, at least).

An Obsession Forum. And no, I will not be spending every second of my 12 hour days, here posting about Routemasters, in that forum. I'll be posting about them every 10 to 50 posts.

I've waited 14 posts before I've made this post, for the record.
