I have no idea how I'm going to survive in the future. I can not take care of myself and I feel as though I am screwed.

I am 25 and have never had a job. I left school at 14 because of bullying and depression over my inability to learn. I felt as though I could not learn anything no matter how simplified or abridged. I was diagnosed with a pervasive processing disorder at 14 ( a type of LD) in addition to a math disorder and I believe I have always had a mild form of Dyslexia. It made it all but impossible to willingly stay in school. My intelligence is only of the average range (I.Q of 98).

I can not drive because I'm not intelligent enough to learn and can not afford the lessons or the license (Here in Canada it costs thousands of dollars).

I tried going to an adult education class in 2010 to try to attain my GED and take some further college classes but did not have the funds to continue. I got sick in 2010 with a rare type of tumor (acinic cell carcinoma) in my salivary gland and required more than a year of treatment.

Two years later I experienced fainting spells and was diagnosed with a life threatening heart condition which I will require ablation for in the next year as my beta blocker treatment has remained ineffective as I'm still having an irregular rhythm.

I literally can not care for myself. I have trouble managing my life and am mostly house bound.

I just don't know what to do! I have no idea which steps I should take to try to escape this situation. I'm trying to qualify for disability support but it's a very difficult process and my province does not exactly consider HFA as a disability.

I don't know what to do but I wish I could find help.

(Off topic) but My profile keeps getting my age wrong and diagnosis? I put down I was born in December of 1989 and first it had me at 11 and then 45 years old? As for diagnosis I tried to put "other autism spectrum" but it keeps putting me at Asperger's (I have PDD-NOS) can anyone fix these glitches?

Do you have loved ones that you can go to in these troubling times? :(

No.

D: You've still got us here.
I really don't have any advice to offer, but have you tried posting this in another forum? You might be able to get more help in the haven or in-depth adult life discussion rather than here. There's always a lot of people in the heaven, so you're sure to get some more replies there.

Sorry if I wasn't any help. :( Have an internet hug.

*hugs*

You have experienced so many challenges at such a young age. I'm sorry for your experiences! An autism diagnosis can involve a lot of related health problems. I wonder if you might feel comfortable accessing support in your community. Are there any natural food stores near you? The staff are usually friendly and knowledgeable in my experience. I was much older (with less illness) when I realized that I would need to change my diet and add daily exercise and meditation to my routine. My auto-immune problems of inflammation in my GI tract and joints were alleviated. I could focus and concentrate on organization. I was able to work full time as an Applied Behavior Therapist at a therapy center. I think I learned more from the toddlers and preschoolers than I taught them. What I gained was confidence and discipline. I met families who needed my help in spite of the fact that I have mild autism and cerebral palsy. As you get stronger and healthier, reach out to those in the autism community. We help each other and there is no room for judgement.:)

Nothing more than wishful thinking I'm sorry to say. Nothing can prevent illness 100%.

I literally can not even afford food. There is no food assistance program in Canada and food banks are scarce. Natural food is not big up here like in the states where you have whole foods. There is not that type if movement up here. Somewhat of a different culture.
