How would you describe autism?
I would liken it to a dream I once had where I suddenly found myself in a parallel dimension. A lot of things were familiar and the way they were supposed to be, but some were very different. Some things feel like they are right while others seem wrong and off.
Another way of describing it would be to say that I feel like I'm from a culture that is both very alike and different from the one I live in, and that some norms make sense, others don't.
