I'm sure many of you have heard at least one variation of this over the years, whether or be around the campfire, at school, or elsewhere. Anyway, why not recreate this here as a game? I think this is the perfect metaphor for the obstacles that many of us face in our lives including Aspergers.

Anyway, here are the rules. The first five lines go more or less like this:

We're going on a bear hunt.
We're going to catch a big one.
We're not afraid.
What a beautiful day.
Oh look...

Then you insert a natural landscape and a word to describe it (ie tall grass, deep river, thick mud, dark forest, etc.).

After, the chant usually goes:
We can't go over it.
We can't go under it.
We can't go around it.
We have to go through it.
*Insert appropriate written-out sound effects*

However, you can rearrange (over, under, around, and through) in any order you want as long as it makes sense.

After no more than nine obstacles per round have passed, the next and last one MUST be a cave. After that, the next person must create an appropriate ending. The round then ends. There can be as many or as few rounds as this board wishes. Note, you can only choose once per round. If you have any questions, feel free to ask.

So, let's begin.

Oh look, tall grass.

We can’t go over it.
We can’t go under it.
We can’t go around it.
We have to go through it.

Swish, swish, swish, swish.

Must be from after my time as a child. Never heard of it before.

Sounds like a cute thing to do with a real life group of kids. Might try it some time.

But I don't know if it would work online with grownups.

In fact...its kinda hard for a grown up like me understand what I supposed to do next.

Okay...so ...the sound effect means we have gone through the grass.

So we start again at the top by chanting that we are hunting a bear. etc etc.

But now we encounter...

A policeman.

We cant over him, under him, around him, so...

we have no choice but to..

BRIBE him.

So...schook schook schook.. (the sound of dollar bills being counted out from one palm to another].

(sorry, its the only obstacle I could think of).

It has to be a natural obstacle, I don’t think a policeman is found in nature. In addition to those in the OP include an icy snowstorm,
high mountain, splashy waterfall, icky swamp, cold lake, etc. You can have a do-over. @naturalplastic
