Laziness is shunned upon. But In my opinion, lazy people are actually heroes, because they are too lazy to go to war, too lazy to travel etc. thus too lazy to carry a pandemic virus.

If everybody were lazy, there would be no wars. Also, no climate crisis would exist either.

Think about that, next time you use "lazy" in a derogatory way.

I read something somewhere that said when someone calls you lazy, the correct response is, "I think you mean highly efficient."

When people call me lazy, I always reply: "I'm energy-saving."

Our forefathers froze at Valley Forge, and at Bastogne, and bled and died at the Alamo, at Fort McHenry, and at Omaha Beach.

And now it's time for each an everyone of us patriots to answer the call again...

It depends.

Laziness is amoral.

If you're drafted into* an immoral war (such as invading another country) - be lazy. Do what you can to not do anything at all, while staying alive.

If you take a job as a firefighter - be brave and don't be lazy. Run into the burning building and save people.

Most people's jobs are somewhere between those two extremes. Most people's lives are as well.

Take conscious effort towards things that will benefit people. Don't make a lot of effort towards harming people, in fact try hard to avoid it even if that looks 'lazy' cos you're technically doing 'nothing'.

Society has a problem today because it is considered that all laziness is worse than all work. That isn't true.

Also - don't beat yourself up about being lazy. Most animals only exert effort in order to get food and spend the rest of their time preserving energy. Humans are unusual in that we don't do this. Even more unusual that a substantial amount of humans don't spend the rest of the time in 'play' but doing things they don't like.

* Otherwise don't take the job...

Love that. I love being lazy. I was never lazy until the pandemic. Now I’m proud to be lazy.

P.S. it’s important to be the right kind of lazy IMO. Not sit-in-your-parents’ basement lazy, but homebody-who-still cares-about-issues and is lazy when it comes to making more and spending more, traveling, wars, etc. but votes diligently, reads, has hobbies, and is kind and has great self-control and stress tolerance.
