I can't really say. Blokes don't do a thing for me.

at work my female co-workers all agree that Brad Pitt is an ideal male. Rich, famous, good looking, nice guy. He and Beckham are, however, too old now for the new gen of men as role models.

But yeah, Beckham ticks a lot of boxes.

I don't find Brad Pitt appealing. Never did.

Rich and famous would be big turn-offs for me anyway.

My brother said regarding Beckhams looks today "Why would people find an overly botoxed, balding, tatooed, false teethed, wrinkly old man with a girly voice conventionally attractive"?

Ask your brother why Beckham is still a drawcard in advertising men's clothes, aftershave or marketing other popular brands? He is (I suspect) iconic (like Brad Pitt) so despite how he has aged, his persona/brand will persist. Some icons persist well past their deaths, Audrey Hepburn, James Dean or Marilyn.

Do you agree with his opinion about Beckhams appearance?

Doesn't matter. Beckham is "forever young" even if he's ageing.

You have to remember Jamesy, that while you are very interested in appearances, that's not the only thing that appeals about a person. It's also what Beckham represents - he was extraordinarily talented with a skill that many men value highly. His lifestyle - designer clothes, mansion, model wife etc. are what many men aspire to. That's at least part of the reason he's still a big hitter for advertisers. It's not all about looks.

I don't know/see why women find Beckham more attractive than other rich and famous football players. If that actually is the case. I would have guessed women would find him a little too much of a vain and superficial pretty boy that is lacking charisma to be really interesting.

this reminds me of the James Bond actors Sean Connery and Roger Moore. Despite both men being old and grizzled, they still remained icons of suave/good looking men in a suit.

Matt Steiner is softer on my eyes but to each their own.

I suppose Beckham is classically handsome, but I don't find him interesting or appealing.

Yeah, that's the problem with some people whether they're attractive or not.
He doesn't spark my curiosity or make me want to get to know him.

Usually when someone is attractive to me, I'm interested to learn more.

Physically speaking, he is attractive. I can understand why other women would be into him. I'm just not particularly drawn to him. It's just "ah, yeah he's good looking*nod*. Look at that bird over there stealing that kid's fries."

Perfect male image...I doubt there really is such a thing. People have so many varying tastes.

I don't there such a thing as a perfect male image. Everybody has their own perfect image.
