Feel like I haven't changed and everyone else has
It feels like almost everyone around me around my age or younger are with a partner, got married, have kids etc and I feel as though I've hardly changed at all. I still live with parents, at work I live with mum and her partner and sometimes ill stay round my dad's, unmarried with no children. I say I haven't changed but that's actually a lie, because unlike I did in my college days, I drive my own car for more than five years, I've been working in a paid job for 8 years, I've travelled to a number of places abroad in the past 8 or 9 years. Yet despite this, I still feel out of place simply because I'm not married or living with a partner.
So how awkward do you think it is when your partner grows up while you merely grow older?
She is no longer particularly interested in ANY of the things that brought us together.
Having had many of the interests that I have developed in my adult life taken away lately, I find myself reverting to my earlier core and finding we no longer have much in common except animals and politics.
