I am one of those people who only wants to attend a party if I have a role (DJ/MC/Promoter/Sound Engineer/Lighting Technician etc).
If not, I'd rather have my feet up with my cat, at least nowadays anyway!

No, I am not. But it seldom is due to me putting my foot into it. Rather I (including my foot) tend to stay off to the side and not get too involved. (Getting involved would be socializing and I'm an Aspie...my socializing circuits don't work too well.)

I don't attend many parties, and the ones I do may qualify more as seeing/visiting family.

If it's a party that isn't horribly overstimulating, I've been told I'm funny. But generally, I avoid what is usually an awful experience unless it is on a small scale with close friends.

Other. No, I'm not fun as parties. In fact, I'm certain I'm the death of the party. But it's not because "I put my foot in it." Its mostly just because I can't relax. I don't like large groups of people, loud noise or flashing lights. I don't drink and I hate being around people that are drinking. All the energy and extroversion just exhausts me and gives me a migraine. So, definitely not an environment I could have fun in. I try to avoid parties when at all possible. If I have to attend one for some reason I mostly just keep to myself or stick with the person I went with in the quietest, least populated area available and leave as soon as that's an option.
The closest thing to a "party" that I actually enjoy is more just hanging out with my sibling and a couple of their friends playing video games or watching a movie on dvd.

All,

My pov here is that we can be but it takes a whole bunch of energy. I.e. it does not 'flow' naturally.
And requires a lot of mental compensation to address/compensate for the sensory overload.
But even this, if played right, can be 'fun', quirky, ... socially acceptable...
So yes, but I compare it to the question for NT peers: "Are you fun at when competing in a final at the Olympics?"

kind regards,
Kada

Depends what party,

I don't dance, don't drink to excess and generally don't socialise with inebriated persons. So I'm not good for that kind of party.

If its a formal dinner party, then I try to practice polite chit chat and try to make people laugh, it usually goes well, at least I have fun.
.
A lan party is my kinda party, up all night fueled by mountain dew and doritos, getting energy from each game boss we slay.
