These are the Top 15 hobbies woman in a study listed that will cause them not to date a man:



The list includes hobbies such as comic books, anime, cosplay, and toy collecting. These are common hobbies amongst autistic men, and attacking them is nothing more than another thinly veiled excuse to condescend to, infantilize, and dismiss us.

But not only does this list include such hobbies, but they go as far as to conflate them alongside harmful vices like drinking, gambling, and drugs. In fact, the list places comic books at the very top; higher than any of the aforementioned vices.

Also of note is how mindlessly frothing at the mouth for a bunch of idiots violently tackling each other over a pig skin is nowhere to be seen. Toy collecting is a immature, but gun collecting is hot! Testosterone addled morons who think their value comes from how much they can bench press are irresistible, but Odin forbid someone enjoys a f*****g cartoon!

But by all mean: please go ahead and patronize to me about being upset about being excluded from life because of who I am makes me the bad guy. I'm listening.

I honestly wouldn't trust this lady with whatever she is saying. Just from briefly looking at her YouTube and description, she seems like the type to make rage-baiting videos aimed towards lonely men so that she's able to sell her relationship classes/program/whatever.

I recall that there was some random survey, and without looking it up (yet), it seems to be what she was talking about. She doesn't even source it in her video; she's just shilling her class.

True some hobbies got negative stereotypes about them, but let's be honest, somebody with that kind of attitude wouldn't do for a good partner anyway.

After doing some more research, I think I know what she was referencing (cause I 'member it.)

There was a poll shared on social media that was from a sports-oriented website back in 2024. The guy who shared it DID NOT source where it was from. He just posted a random graph and it suddenly blew through the internet like a wildfire. A lot of people were bewildered by it. Even now when I imaged searched the graph, it brings up nothing but memes of the graph when it was viral.

Sorry for all of my posts, but honestly, if you met a woman and she belittled you for your hobbies, she was most likely not a good person to be around.

The fact that anime is as big as it is now, along with comics and other nerdy hobbies in mainstream media is enough to push this weird... thing aside.

I can see how drinking, smoking cigars or marijuana, engaging in porn and gambling are "hobbies" that can cause trouble. But when it comes to the rest of the list my advice to my fellow men is to simply ignore it and enjoy their hobbies. If a woman wont date you because you like comic books she's probably not good for you anyway.

Acceptable hobbies are riding horses, fishing, hunting, and cleaning the house.

Anime and comics are popular with Gen Z, but not so much with women my age I'm afraid.

Have you ever been to a con before? You see a lot of younger people yeah, but you also run into quite a few people who can be around your age. In the local gaming stores I frequent, I see a lot of people of various ages.

And no worries. I could tell you were very worked up, and honestly, with ANY kind of claims like this on the internet, especially with how horrible it is now, you have to see what the hell they are talking about. A lot of people will post for selfish, exploitative reasons. They are not your friends, they are not going to help you. They are preying on your situation and want to make money off of it. There's so much of this evil crap online that it's so suffocating. For the past few years, whenever I see something like that video, I like to figure out where they're coming from. Especially now that we have AI content floating around, it's becoming SO much harder to figure out what is true and what is false.

If I'm blunt, I'd block that lady and/or stop seeking out that kind of content. I understand you are trying to figure out relationships, but you will run into those people. Even if you do watch it, I'd take everything with a grain of salt, don't accept what someone says as true. Research, look it up.
