Hello .... accidently started this thread when signed in as my son (AussieBoy) ....

Anyway:

After my fantastic 3 week European vacation I'm back home in Australia.

It was great to see my sons again .... funny thing is they seemed smaller and younger than I remembered

After such a huge year in 2007 .... 2 sons getting diagnosed with Asperger's, fighting the school etc .... the 3 week break was great. Good to get some head space.

Just need to recover from jetlag after 30 hours of travelling (22 on the plane, 8 hours in transit).

Regards
Helen

You have to kiss the ground (pope style) when you arrive back here.

Thanks for the welcome back!

I did take photos but my camera got stolen. Luckily I had uploaded the first 10 days of my holidays so I haven't lost them all.

I loved my holiday, but nothing beats Australia! I'm happy to be back on my 2.5 acres of Australian bush. After staying in in tiny hostels, my house feels like a mansion!

The boys have started school again and both have great teachers. It's great to start the school year with them diagnosed, IEP in place and accomodations from day 1! The boys were both dressed and ready 2.5 hours early this morning and begging me to take them to school.

My husband is a dream ... he took 3 weeks holidays from work to look after the boys while I had my vacation alone .... and while he was away he spring-cleaned all the cupboards. What a great man!

It's hard to say my favourite part of Europe ... I loved Portugal, Paris and London! I'd say Portugal was my favourite.

London was special because I met several WP members. On Saturday I met IceB, MrSinister, Chriss, Kaleido, Shopaholic, 0_equals_true and Psych. On Sunday I met Lau.
