People at school confuse me
I go to a BOCES program for school (for people who don't do well in with their home schools), and there's this student at my school who really confuses me. For example, last year he said his current best friend is only the 3rd best friend he ever had... but THIS year, he's saying how popualar he was at his old middle school(we went to the same one), and he had 5 best friends and how great it was. If it was so great, what is he doing at the BOCES program? He doesn't really seem to have behavioral problems which is why some students are there, but not all. The reason I am there is because middle school was bad, not for behavioral problems. And it's not like I was asking, he brought it up. Why? Just curious...
I've seen this over an over and over.
He's BS'ing you and everyone else so you won't think he's got anything wrong with him. Denial is what most people resort to, even though that's sort of Cliche, that's just how it is.
People naturally don't want other people to think anything but good of them. However, it could also be that he scared of people not accepting him. I've never had a best friend, and I'll admit it. I have plenty of "friends", but no close ones. But most of them know I'm an aspie, and they accept me anyway.
