Nobody knows me. Not *really*. I've spent my whole life being what everyone else wants and expects me to be. I've been a good student, a compassionate friend, a dedicated employee, and dozens of other things for other people. But it's not real. The only reality behind it is that I know what people w...

I spent the end of 2006 and the entirety of 2007 working a crappy retail job. I began as a cashier, and over the course of about six months had been promoted to assistant manager, first assistant manager, and eventually store manager. My boss, the District manager, was a thoroughly unpleasant woman....

I agree, for the most part. However, if you go back and watch some of the shows that you grew up on and loved so much when you were eight years old, you'll probably wonder what you thought was so great about them, looking back. Hell, I used to love watching cartoons. But, upon looking up most of my ...

That's good for you, Belle. It's not actually relevant to my question, but good nevertheless. Does anybody have any experiences or advice that they would be willing to share with me on anything that I can do, or any way that I can handle this type of situation? I don't think me taking your husband (...

Initial D is awesome. I have the DVD boxed set of Stages 1,2, and 3. Also, one of the local arcades has the Initial D Arcade machine, which is pretty sweet. The music might very well be my favorite part of it all.

So, Thanksgiving has crept up on me once again. I live several hundred miles away from my family, and due to my line of work and my rigid and uncaring boss, I will not be able to make the trip up to see them. It doesn't really bother me too much, but my Thanksgiving with my family is actually pretty...

The best roommates are the ones that are quiet, pay on time, and are usually somewhere else. At one point, I was working opposite shifts with my roommate, so that one of us was at work when the other was sleeping. Kind of nice to have the place to yourself.

Three of those jobs fired me for what I said to management or customers. I don't blame them for it. I just get so fed up with all of it that I gradually show less and less self-restraint in those situations. The one and only saving grace for my current job is that I am the management. So, as long as...

So far, nearly every job I’ve had has been endlessly aggravating to me, the overwhelming majority of the time due to the customers and the crap that spews from the holes in their faces. This is a chronological account of the annoying jobs I’ve had, and the irritating crap that I would deal with at e...

Generally, no. I've had half a dozen since high school, for financial reasons. The first three were awful, the last couple have been alright. Roommates can be a wonderful thing, as long as they understand the need for personal space, and let you be particular about the things the really bother you. ...

It's already been said several times, but the odds are truly stacked against you having a high IQ and AS, looking for someone else that has both. I burn out very quickly on people. Some days I will take my fiancee out shopping, out to dinner, and curl up and watch TV all evening. The very next day I...

After a handful of semi-productive sessions with a behavioral therapist, Asperger's came up as something worth looking at. We spent a session talking about the symptoms and behaviors associated with AS, and afterwards I came home and did a little research of my own, which lead me here. After reading...
