Fortunately, lot of us have succeeded. Got married or got a boyfriend or girlfriend because we had found someone who accepted who we are. Took me three tries to find a guy who doesn't expect me to be like all the other women and he isn't needy like the other two were. Three tries is a few. You are ...

I think Greentea is the only one talking sense here. You can learn to mimic behaviours, but in my experience in the end this fools no one. Perhaps the borderline cases can learn to function sufficiently well, but the more severe cases will never fool anybody. I've been trying to improve my socialis...

Some things you can change, some things you cannot. For instance, you'd still be you and you'd still have AS whether you like it or not. I don't know about God, it is up to you if you want to stay miserable. One can learn to be happy alone. Why would I want to go out? I don't care about 99% of real ...

You said it. Life is complicated. How come you can't accept who you are? For me, that's the easy part. Though it took so long to realize that, because most of the time I'm anxious and not thinking clearly. Accepting yourself is easy. The hard part is being acceptable to others. Like you said, this i...

i know NT people who, in their own way, struggle more than i do. some people just waist too much of their energy on trying to solve unsolvable problems. they just cannot recognize which ones are solvable and which not. and even if they do, it takes them more time to get used to the consequencies th...

Someone who can write forum the posts like that can't be depressed. Depressed is like, staring at ceiling and not being able to do anything. I get that sometimes, and I feel like, "Oh I need to see a doctor!... Nah, forget it... But it's serious!... Yeah, right..." You're just feeling disconnected, ...

Hello there, and welcome!
Am undiagnozed, too. But come to think of it, I have an autistic cousin. So it runs in the family. I won't be surprised if I have AS. It's nice to hang out with an aspie sometimes.

Well, for some time I actually thought there was something WRONG with me. I guess we're just different. Me, special? I got no special talent whatsoever. Am just struggling with normal life right now. Everyone else has it so easy.

Don't give up! If you give up, you'll never find someone... Unless that someone is just settling for you. Bad situation. Yeah, be proactive, but not too pushy. Guys can be like that sometimes, a turn off for most girls, but I find that attractive! I'm weird! :P I know how you feel, but somehow I don...
