I agree with you totally. I'm sure a lot of people on Wrong Planet who are confident and living their lives in a successfully that it comes as a surprise to know that they're even autistic. But there are others I see who wallow in self-pity and are miserable with their lives. To those people, you ne... |

I laugh at anything that is socially ironic or inappropriate and I can't stop laughing.
Something like a waiter looking expectedly at a customer for a tip who doesn't give one, would crack me up big time. |

I'm no social guru but I think shooting him back with another question, like "How's it going?" or just changing the topic would be fine.
I'd like more of these articles too! I think the "How was your day" and "Gregarious Humans" were awesome and helpful! Really. |

ROFL that is so random.
I've heard about plastic surgery centres before which can change the appearance of your toes by artificially sculpting your toe flesh. I wonder if that helps |

MDB: Thanks for your advice. I read it twice so I can hopefully remember to use some of those next time I get into a criticism dilemma. Happeh: Yeah, I suppose everyone does have a hard time, but I think Aspie's have it harder. Some of us lack the ability to adapt and change to social situations, ta... |

I'm not sure if this is an Asperger's thing, but I have huge huge problems dealing with criticism, I can neither take it or give it out correctly. If someone criticises me, I can become overly defensive and I basically shut myself from any social interaction. I can't respond to the criticism then an... |

Welcome. Me too, I don't really know if I have asperger's or not. And I can't be bothered/too afraid to get a diagnosis. Anyway, enjoy your stay here and I hope you make lots of friends. I hope you post a lot (that's the only way to learn more about yourself) and feel comfortable with the community. |

Sounds like you're way ahead of me. So far I'm up to episode 96 where Tsunade beats the crap out of Orochimaru. Ohhhh yeah! I really like the characters in Naruto. They're all very memorable and easy to relate to; they're like real humans sometimes, people you can imagine in real life and identify w... |

The plot revolves around Naruto and the people who are important to him; their past, their hardships, their resolutions. Packed with intriguing plot, endeari... |

I always thought it wasn't the right approach to look at people in the eye. Most people (even NT) get uncomfortable when confronted directly in the eye; my NT sisters feel that way too. You may not need to give direct eye contact, but you can look to the general direction of the person's face you ar... |

Hi, my name is Andrew and I'm a self-diagnosed aspie. I'm 19, male and I come from down under ie. Australia. I first came to understand more about myself and my awkwardness in social situations a year ago, when I first attended university (or college in the US). Strangely enough, I never noticed my ... |
