| In Texas no restraint or seclusion or any other sensory deprivation is allowed,. My bf was a psych tech. He was taught to pull people off each other, but only put them in the seclusion room because they were so out of it they were just throwing themselves at everything and everyone indiscriminantly,... |

| I don't have anything against autismspeaks. I think it's spreading awareness to people about what it is and how it affect others. But I haven't gotten deep into it where I can pinpoint faults in their advertising. I visted to website and they had good videos about the differences between NT babies ... |

| I hate it when people tell me I can be like Temple Grandin, or as functional as her, or whatever. Even I am more functional than her, and coming from me that's scary. So telling me to use Temple as my role model like a few ignorant people in real life (professionals!) did was an insult. |

Yep, you guessed right... it is the social skills thing.
I wouldn't trade my mildly autistic bf for anyone else tho. People with autism can be very, naturally sweet too.  |

I take meds, but not for autism. My depression is a disease. My autism is not. |

They let her back in and then said there had been a mixup, or that they were giving her another chance, or something.
Maybe she's banned again, but I don't know. |
