It is my preference because I enjoy the solitude. If anyone asks me what I will be doing on these types of occasions, I ... |

It may be difficult for me because I cannot express my feelings and thoughts well, but it seems like a nice thing to try.

I also have the same problem as the OP. I have been thinking about it and asking myself, "Do you really want a relationship, or do you just feel that you want a relationship?" I am still pondering this question.

I am constantly being frustrated, even by minor issues, such as those experienced by the OP. I have been this way since I was a kid, and now that I am 57 years old, it has not improved at all.

I am 57 years old, never married, and have no children. I think that my life experience gap was already wide when I was in my teens. I was not interested in pop culture and had very few friends.

I edit my posts many times before posting. I never edit after posting, although I am never satisfied with the final post. Somehow, it never looks quite right, but I can't figure out why I am unsatisfied.

I have this same problem with conversation. I don't think that it's necessarily a memory problem. I tend to overthink everything, and by the time I know what I really want to say, the conversation has ended. It may also be due to anxiety, because I am worried about being criticized.

My life is like a movie in a cinema I am really enjoying however the seat is very uncomfortable and somebody is kicking the back of it . This description about your life is how I would describe my life, too. Thank you for coming up with the perfect analogy. I really like your never give up attitude.

I have heard that mindfulness meditation is supposed to help you deal with this. Well, I have practiced it off and on for several years, and so far it has not worked.

Like the above poster, I have a few 'acquaintances' but I don't really have any real friends - but then again, as my family so rightly pointed out. I don't go out of my way to make any either. I just find I have absolutely nothing in common with about 99% of people out there and when I do try and i...
