Thanks guys.
I realise it's pretty hard to get into. I'm taking what I've learned for this project in mind for what I might do next.
I'd like to write something that will be both widely accessible and possibly helpful/enlightening.

It's not really about Aspergers but since a lot of it is written from an autistic perspective, I thought some people here might find it interesting. There are 100 little story/vignette/essay bits, each with exactly 100 words. Hence the title. The subtitle "An exercise" is because this is mainly a pr...

Hello, some posters have already mad good arguments here, but for those who haven't heard of the book Autism's False Prophets by Paul Offit, I recommend it. It totally explains the science behind vaccines and how the public opinion is affected by communication of that science (good or bad). Good book.

I will agree with you on this. If my father had any inclination of how socially inept he is, he might have come up with ways to overcome, that he could have taught me. However, I'm at the stage of my life now where I must let the past go, and accept that there is nobody to lead me but the role model...

Speaking from someone who has been there, and come out of it, it sounds like he needs some friends, and he needs to have fun. You know that saying "the best years of your life?" and how that is frequently attributed to childhood? I always resented the way that everyone except me seemed to have much ...

I know this feeling too. I can't see doctors or other 'professionals' as people that really care for me. Maybe they do, or don't. But I decided that it would be better to find a friend that I can talk to about things that are bothering me. I am running a little short on these valuable resources at t...

I suggest Shadow of the Colossus (or Ico). Another PS2 title is Katamari Damacy.
If you're in an RPG mood, try Mother 3.
From my PC library, I'd say Braid (though I hear that's on XBLA too). Maybe World of Goo?

If there's no pattern to the things that you recall, like if they aren't traumatic or something bothering you, then it might just be a side effect of stress in general. You seem fairly precise about time though. Do you go back and count how many years ago something happened when you think of it? And...

Well, without any other information, I would agree with your doctor that it's an anxiety thing.

What sort of conversations? What sort of events? I have an old habit that I've done since I was kid, where I imagine talking to people that I might talk to in the future, as a sort of "practice round" so that I can think of things to say. I think it's just one of those subtle little things I learnt ...

I don't really like competition that much. The enemy that I get motivated to fight against is myself. But unlike other games I've played, LoL is so socially demanding; I'm apparently under the scrutiny of 9 other people for over half an hour - half of those people are meant to be on my side. I find ...

Am I supposed to know all the different items and which way to build my character every game? Am I supposed to know what everyone on my team and the opposing team are doing at all times? Yes and yes. Look up guides on solomid for the items and by time you'll learn to create your own builds/have ins...

So found another thread here about people who seemed to genuinely enjoy League of Legends. I wanted to know if there was anyone else who had a hard time with the game. I am level 13, but have some friends who are level 30. Being invited into their games is generally a terrible idea, because I appare...

People who play games like this (I do it too) should play the Mother series - known in English as Earthbound.
NPC's are generally interesting/funny and there is just the right balance of side quests.

I don't make a habit of it, but because people are one of my special interests, I would leap at the chance to do something a little awkward if I thought I could learn something. Especially if I could set up some social experiments! An ex-workmate of mine oftens posts about parties at his p...
