Currently I'm in the same situation, although I've only been seeking a diagnosis for about six months. I've got as far as seeing a psychiatrist, who has so far given me a working diagnosis of having a social phobia. He was of the opinion that an ASD is unlikely because apparently I don't have a "rep...

As a straight man I'd like to weigh in with my deal-breakers: - Has kids - Politically conservative or far-right - Large overt tattoos (I'm ambivalent towards discreet ones) - Too many piercings (I'm not keen on any piercings on the face) - Dumb - Poor personal hygiene - Obese - Monarchist - Theist ...

Easily fooled, hoodwinked, decieved.

Now, I'm not sure if you're playing along or not.

Sounds to me like you have paruresis. I have this; I have great difficulty using urinals and have to use the cubicles, even though they are often disgusting. Some people with paruresis can't use public toilets at all. Here in Britain it can even get you out of jury duty.

My interests tend to be quite transient. Recently I went from learning the relevant letters of the International Phonetic Alphabet to the English language, to learning Morse code, to doing arithmetic in base 12. I can easily revisit any of these subjects. My interests are always incredibly narrow.

I'm currently seeking an assessment for a possible ASD. I seem to be affected by all the symptoms of Asperger's Syndrome in some way or another except for one: recognising facial expressions. I've never noticed myself being unable to read a facial expression in a social situation and any test I've f...

I used to think yawn contagion was a load of bollocks, just some kind of urban myth. That was until I saw a video on You Tube that demonstrated that yawn contagion is linked to empathy. They showed a clip of a chimpanzee watching an animation of a chimp yawning causing them to yawn in return. So no,...

1.) Is her profile still on POF? 2.) Did she mention her disability in her profile? I haven't used POF in a while now, I deleted my account because the website is a waste of time. I remember her profile was, understandably, very succinct. She did mention she had aphasia. In a way I felt I could rel...

Hell no! If I message someone I expect a reply. It's just outright disrespectful otherwise. :D

Perhaps I should be on that programme: I haven't been on a date in over seven years!

One of the people on there isn't an 'undateable'. I actually messages her on Plenty Of fish but never got a response. The really wired thing is after that I saw her at the Olympic Park. And when I say saw I mean we walked right past one another (she noticed me as well). That was an awkward moment.
