I don't give a damn what any of you say, I know Obama is/was against the Jews. No one is changing my mind on that AND I'm not going to explain myself about it. I'm tired of explaining myself to people who will never understand (or wants to understand) because we are on the OPPOSITE sides. Evidently, there are others who think the same way as me - just not on this site, otherwise, Trump wouldn't be President. And I'm overjoyed that Trump is improving America's relationship with Israel.

I don't know if Obama is against the Jews, but I do know that he didn't sign an executive order to keep them from entering the country.

Evidence?

Obama has time after time said he would protect Israel against any attack. How can you say he hates Jews when he is protecting them. Obama also has good relationships with Jews in the US congress like Chuck Schumer, Feinstein and Boxer. If he hates them why are they his friends?

There's other kinds of aid we give Israel, too. That probably grew even more under Obama, but regardless there are inner cities with carnage problems who would like some diplomatic and non military assistance, too. They would probably like it more than military "assistance," and we already discussed their concern about "getting" that.

I actually think the ban should be broadened to other countries as all countries that have caused terrorism in the US are not on the list (as someone here brought up), one including Saudi Arabia. Trump is speaking with Saudi Arabia today. I'm interested to see how that turns out.

The US gives around $10 million a day to Israel for them to continue with their racial colonies. And yes it increased under Obama and he gave full support especially to the massacre in 2014.

We're Jewish on my mother's side, but we haven't been practicing or culturally Jewish for a few generations now. It's one of those things that just doesn't really impact my day to day or anything, so I don't usually mention it, but it's occasionally useful when someone wants to start the whole 'who's ancestors had it worst' pissing contest.

I'm certainly no Democrat, though I do vote for them occasionally, the rest of my family is a mixed bag ideologically, mostly they're just not that into politics.

But if tomorrow the governor of Oregon announced he was going to start ethnically cleansing, presumably you'd support insurgents who tried to stop that happening? Or do they need to wait until their neighbours are being loaded into vans? Or until the executioners take aim? I realise that these are emotionally loaded scenarios but I think that's pretty unavoidable when talking about punching Nazis.

Sure, maybe the lieutenant governor was pulling the strings all along and getting rid of the moderate governor could let him fulfil his plan to turn Oregon into a nuclear wasteland, but that might be a risk worth taking. If nothing else, once you reach a certain threshold then it becomes hard for the next guy to be any worse.

I realise this is getting quite detached from one guy spouting his own brand of rubbish. For my part, while I'd theoretically agree with you that people shouldn't get hit for saying things, I find it hard to get upset in this case.

I always recommend Making History by Stephen Fry when this subject comes up, for a brilliant exploration of how things might pan out should somebody actually do the deed. The protagonist sends an irreversible male contraceptive pill to the well in Braunau am Inn, rendering Hitler's father infertile.

I'm fairly certain the governor would be impeached long before it got to the van-loading stage. I'd be more concerned by a rise to power in a nation without effective checks and balances.
