I like Halloween and have FOMO when people go to parties
I like the time leading up to and during Halloween, I do like some things to do with the morbid, horror and so on. I probably used to dress up for Halloween as a kid but so as an adult I've not gone to Halloween themed parties and dressing up. I think there were times at work when we could dress up or wear anything to do with Halloween but I've never got a proper fancy dress like a vampire or something. There were times when I just wore a horror themed t shirt under a shirt. I've seen people go to bars and pubs on a Halloween weekend all dressed up and still get the FOMO feelings in my head despite having said many times before that I've never been a club-going type of person. Most of my halloween nights have been at home, watching a scary movie or a scary documentary or something. I quite enjoyed last year when we went to Warwick Castle and there were people dressed in scary ghostly costumes as it was nearing Halloween that time. I hesitant to visit the dungeons but I still quite enjoyed it.

Instead of not committing to do something fun and complaining about how you're overwhelmed by FOMO, why not try doing something fun and not miss out?

Just a reminder: under international law, an occupying power has no right of self-defense, and those who are occupied have the right and duty to liberate themselves by any means possible.
Hmmm...
Maybe you have something that I have.
Except it's not social and emotional related stuff, it's just the whole bit about things that I fancy but unable to pursue them.
Or being enticed over the idea of or it's promise, but unable to fulfill said idea or promise.
Relentlessly wanting, but rationally do not make sense as it wasted too much energy, resources and time over it.
Maybe what you have is something as subtle as I'm having.
Yours just happened to be themed around socialization, and mine happened to be themed around learning and utilization of something.
Not my most disruptive and far from the most distressing aspects I had to deal with like yours do, but I've yet to untangle it myself.
Like yeah, I know how to deal with FOMO of all forms.
But the persistent fancying despite the reality and action? I don't know. Yet.
