Definitely introverted. Even over the phone I don't feel comfortable talking to people! I feel most comfortable communicating via email, online forums and chatrooms, and text messaging.(I'd only text if I can't email, but usually I can just email). It's funny though, cause my parents know how I am and how uncomfortable I am talking to people, even over the phone. But for some really strange reason If I had to talk to someone on the phone and my parents weren't around and I was totally alone somewhere else, I could talk to the person on the phone and it would be a little less uncomfortable.

I could have written that about myself.

When I was younger I was an extrovert, now that I'm older I have become an Introvert and rather be alone and not socialize with anyone and spend time at home concentrating on my Interests and hobbies.

I forgot to add one thing: I have nightmares (in which I think the non-analytical, right side of my brain is more active) where I'm all alone and I feel devastated and unbelievably depressed about it. Then I wake up and within seconds I can say to myself, "I feel fine my myself ... why did I have that nightmare?" This has been happening more and more since I started therapy. So I wonder if there's a closed off part of my mind during the day that somehow doesn't feel the pain of being alone, and yet in the dream state it's just the opposite.

I think my father-in-law has Aspergers, or is at least somewhere on the spectrum. I think he has 'flown under the radar' because is an extrovert. He is extremely chatty and sociable and will talk to anyone and everyone and will quite happily be the centre of attention. He is also obsessive and doesn't seem to be able to read body language but it doesn't seem to have occured to anyone other than my husband and I, since DS's diagnosis.

Extremely introverted (I've taken a test...not sure how reliable, but it still gives you a sense), and I am in the 99th percentile of introvertedness. I do agree that there are extroverted ASDers out there though!

no poll?

me, I'm mostly introverted. But around my close friends I can be extroverted. But with others I'm mostly afraid to talk and most people doesn't want to talk to me because of who I am.

Introverted, but I am with ppl more then I want too 'cause that is how you should be.
I don't activly seek company, but I accept it when it comes. I'm told I'm easy to manipulate and have in groups and stuff like that 'cause I don't say no or what I want and such. Usually 'cause I either do not dare or (mostly) I don't know what I want to do or whatever the "being with another human" is about. It's hard for me to know what I want or to choose, that is one of the reasons I usually do what others tell me to do (but mostly it's 'cause I don't want to upset or disappoint anyone) I'm usually very quiet, but with a few ppl I can talk much, but with strangers I can usually not say a word.
