The original poster from best i can tell did not write that post and is
merely quoting it. Next time he should indicate that.

He did WORSE than that!! !! ! He led into it with a false premise! He took the possible experience and care of someone stating fact, and twisted and perverted it so it is a LIE! He, in a real sense, use the persons own words against him!

Frankly, that puts him in the company of some of the people I LOATH most of all!

No I think he 100% copied the entire post and submitted it for us to read. I knew from the get go there was a 99% chance he did not write it. His other post are short, written with many spelling errors.
I'm not mad at the guy at all. Our comments should be focus on the information in the post and not how it appeared on WP. I thought he should have put the artical in quotes because many of you thought he wrote it.

I'm not disputing that he copied 100% of it. I merely meant that he led into it by saying everyone said that autism was a behavioural disorder, and led in like he did write it. The actual article made no crazy claims, but simply said that problems could be caused or made worse by alergies.

Yeah but he did not write the lead in either. Its a 100% cut-n-paste
job. I also doubt he was in his own mind trying to present the post content as his own.

It was totally obvious that it was a cut-and-paste job, and I highly doubt that the original poster could say anything to confirm or refute the claims made in the pasted material. So I wouldn't take it personally and wouldn't get upset over it. There are bigger fish to fry.

Whatever the circumstances of the post and whatever the problems with the article's vocabulary ("autistic" vs "normal" etc) the basic point remains which is that everybody's health can be improved by improving the diet. It is perfectly likely that autistic people are more prone to food allergies and have a higher sensitivity to toxins since they/we are more likely than others to be sensitive to lights, sounds, stress and so on.

However it is not necessary to get expensive tests done, just cut out wheat and dairy for a month and see how you feel.

Everybody whether AS or NT would be better off on an organic stone age diet (ie no farm products such as wheat and dairy, but lots of fruits and vegetables and smaller amounts of fish, fowl, game, eggs, nuts and seeds).

Cancer and diabetes are well known to be lifestyle related so that when a population adopts a western diet the rate of cancer and diabetes increases rapidly. Depression, ADHD, food allergies, and anxiety disorders also improve when the diet improves. Does this "cure" autism? Of course not. Does it improve the individual's quality of life. Certainly.

I too have ten years of experience, but a different perspective, learning how to feel better and working to do the same for others.

There is an interesting book by Dr. Nastasha Campbell-McBride a neurologist and nutritionist who has researched the link between the gut and autistic spectrum disorders, she also mentions how high the incidence of candida is in people with AS etc. Her experiments have found that people tend to have less entereocytes, there has been a lot of connections made between the stomach and the brain for example Dr Andrew Wakefield at the Royal Free Hospital a gastro-enterologist found a link between inflammatory bowel disease and autism; but of course AS is primarily a disorder of the brain.
The McBride's book is called "Gut and Psychology Syndrome", daft name but has some interesting scientific info and dietary guidelines her diet is rather draconian though no sugar, loads of probitics, no bread, no rice just meat, veg, fruit its stone age.

Buddy,I'm interested in the bit about milk allergy as
I went to school in the UK at a time when it was
compulsory for the children to be given a carton of
milk every day. I came out in a rash and the milk
was the only explanation.
I can also distinctly remember that during my childhood
I sensed a change in my own thinking patterns,as if
my thoughts were a lot deeper and inward than before.
It would be another 40 years before I discovered that
Aperger's was the reason for it. I think there may be
various factors whether genetic,dietary or
environmental that contribute to autism but I think I'll
experiment for a while by drinking coffee without milk
and see if I feel any effects !
