every1 tells people they look young. its a meaningless compliment. someone in their 30s is not as young as hey where 10 years ago, and do not look it. i can tell someone is over 30 by looking at them, no matter how "young they look"

I believe Roger Bannister had some strong Asperger's traits. He was very smart, had a good memory for facts, which helped him in his medical studies, and trained mostly on his own in pursuit of his objective of breaking the four minute mile. He was criticized by the British press for following his own course. It worked for him.

Whats the evidence for Socrates having it? I've never heard that before.

Socrates would approach all the intelligent people in his society and ask them what they thought about life then he would challenge their beliefs for hours or until they got sick of listening to him.

A lot of famous dead guys are thought to be AS or dyslexic or ADD but because they are dead we can only speculate based on the information we have on their lives but we can never diagnose them.

After all, there are other neurological conditions that share common traits with autism.

OCD, bipolar, Schizoid Personality Disorder, etc.

To acquire a better understanding, it is important view people as coming between to extreme polar opposites extreme Neurotypical Syndrome and Asperger Syndrome. Everyone fits in this scale even some very NT like people can get one or two points on AS scale. The fact that bill gates has so many Aspie traits mean that more or less has more in common with Aspies then he does with Neurotypical.

Bill Gates could be AS he could be anything, and he could just be another normal NT with eccentric behavior.

It is quite possible Socrates had AS, but by that evidence alone, talk about pure speculation. Just becuase someone has a questioning nature does not make them AS, I know plenty of NTs who are very philosophical.. Such extreme speculation is annoying to me. Perhaps having AS has just made me very scientific.

Lisa Simpson is such an AS!

1. brilliant
2. always sees things from a different view point
3. has no social life
4. has found an emotional outlet in her saxamaphone
5 has that 'insight' people go on an on about and is always right.
6 has as much money now as Bill Gates and
7 is probably on this forum.
