Did you experience strict parenting?

I kinda raised myself. My mom was not the most resolute of people and I could push her around. I had no male parental figure in my life but I sure could have used one--a kindly, firm but gentle one.

No, I don't really know what it is to have parents. I had social workers who were kind to me and taught me a bit about having respect and I tried to listen and take it all in so I suppose they were like parent figures to me. but I don't know about strict.
