When I say 'make fun' I also mean what are the things that people say to you are your "faults"? Or what is it that people always bring up about you when they're arguing with you or you make them angry? For me, I've been given grief by my "best friend" for not disrespecting or lying to my parents ever, for living with them and for getting cold easily or having back pain/cramps and not wanting to hang out. And the people are always saying to me that I need to stop care what other people are thinking and it's not that it's that I am constantly thinking about what the world and what my movements and everything are to the people around me and how I'm effecting them and how they're interpreting everything around them. Sometimes I think I can feel people but when I interpret things wrong and people say that I'm wrong it makes me wonder if they're just being pretentious like people are taught to be in American society. I get the feeling that people my age (and older) think I'm a spoiled brat. But since I grew up surrounded by the materialistic things I needed I have learned that money and materialism don't bring balance or true "happiness". And that's just because I live with them. I guess people assume they've bought me stuff my entire life which is the exact opposite. People always try to make me feel spoiled for accepting my parents help. But if I were to decline their help other people would think that I was ungrateful. Do people resent when parents help their kids because their parents weren't like that? I've never cared about my friends family lives or how much money my friends make or even if they made money.

For being able to "see" relationships in science and technology fields that others do not. I have been called a "Dr. Frankenstein" of sorts by other scientists for my interest in in vivo biotechnology combined with material engineering at the molecular level. (Hint: think of the possibility of 3-D printing functioning organs inside the living human body without the need for stem cells. That is but one idea on a long list.) Many of the scientists that I deal with are only looking at one small sliver of their area of science (a dot) that they are an expert at, so they are missing the big picture that is out there when you connect the dots. If you get outside of their area, their knowledge fades and they become skeptical of those ideas.

For being literal and not understanding jokes and sometimes figure-speech, even though I use it myself pretty much.

Hi Jensen,

Sorry about what happened in Copenhagen. I hope they catch those idiots soon.

Yeah, Thanks. It happened in the neighbourhood next to mine. Fractions of an islamic extremist movement have been localized there. Nobody knows if this was a lonely desperado, but the overall suspicion is, that it probably has a connection to what happened in Paris. Maybe it comes from the same circles, that threatens events in Germany. It could be a coincidence. We hope so, - but from now on, we must be on our guard.

My co-workers laugh at me for trying to be precise, for using a calculator, for using college texts as reference material, and for measuring the length of wire and cable.

Yet when the spit hits the fan and they find themselves unable to solve a problem, they always end up coming to me.

Yeah! Seen that one before. Was being ostracise and scolded for being too technical at the art workshop, where I once rented a space. But...when they had a technical/material problem, they came lurking anyway 8)

Heh, I know what you mean!

I'm of the "Measure Twice, Cut Once" school of thought, while most of my co-workers are of the "Measure Once ... and let Fnord make it work right" school.

It sucks sometimes, but the overtime pay is worth it.
