Why do people assume I have a girlfriend?

I just had a thought that maybe it could be related to rumors/gossip. Like someone talks or gives the impression that you have a girlfriend in a conversation & then then those people talk like you do when talking about you to others

Hehe, it's not exactly a secret that girls tend to go for the guys who already have girlfriends - having a girlfriend is a sign of status, and most girls are status conscious. So, once started, you're on a roll! :lol:
