He meant that I don't make eye contact, and I tend to look down.
That makes me look like I'm baked.
I've also had people tell me I look drunk because of my autistic gait and poor coordination.

It hurt to hear it and I clearly haven't forgotten.
Same with you.

Did your friend say why you look that way?
Is it an eye contact thing, or did they mean that your behaviour makes you seem high?

I have navigated night clubs without any trouble or without anyone complaining about me (to my knowledge) and have never had any trouble with security, so I like to think I am doing something right, lol.

You might have done something to annoying them or they are either jealous of certain skills or knowledge that you.

Yeah or maybe they ignore you because they just don't know you. There doesn't really have to be much of a reason for it. It's just the way people are.

I think jealousy is highly overused as a reason for people to ignore others.
Most of us don't go around feeling jealous of others whether we know them or not.

I'm really bad at first encounters to be fair. I actually think I freak people out. I can sort of see it in their faces.

I got a bit paranoid about it at one stage and started to wear sunglasses a lot so people couldn't see my eyes.

It helps with the paranoia for me but people probably still think I'm a weirdo because of the sunnies. I actually don't give to much of a f**k anymore to be honest. I'm far to long in the tooth for all that s**t.

Sometimes certain people can be initially friendly to me then all of a sudden ignore me later in the night

Yes, it can also lower your inhibitions which has caused issues in the past.

If you are frequenting the same bars and clubs, you might have a certain…reputation.

I don’t think they are ideal locations in general.

Once this older guy at the pub made a comment about me infront of 2 girls "He's a weirdo that bloke is I have seen him before"
