That must be confusing for you

Do you actually have enemies?
Do you know why?

That sounds like something adolescents deal with, rather than grown men.

Thanks BB.

I have navigated night clubs without any trouble or without anyone complaining about me (to my knowledge) and have never had any trouble with security, so I like to think I am doing something right, lol.

You are doing better than me

Aye. I would be worried if I weren't by the sounds of it. :P

I'm really bad at first encounters to be fair. I actually think I freak people out. I can sort of see it in their faces.

I got a bit paranoid about it at one stage and started to wear sunglasses a lot so people couldn't see my eyes.

It helps with the paranoia for me but people probably still think I'm a weirdo because of the sunnies. I actually don't give to much of a f**k anymore to be honest. I'm far to long in the tooth for all that s**t.

I wear dark glasses also, but not for that reason.

I wear them for sensory sensitivity to light, but they definitely can make people be weary of you for some reason. As though you stand out for simply wearing dark glasses, or something.

I can be good at socially masking depending on the scenario. One-on-one I am okay, but in groups I am a lot more awkward.

I have enemies probably because I have not had a job for 10 years amd a history of self harming. I lie to them about having a job but they can probably see through it

I don't know what you mean.
Why would that make people enemies?

If people have seen a guy demonstrating what they think is concerning behavior, they do tend to warn women about it. That might be especially true in places where they serve alcohol.

Because people don't like those who avoid work

Maybe Jamesy is talking about societal enemies as an abstract with regards to the enemies he mentions (because of being unemployed).

Society can be fairly hostile to economically inactive folk. There can be a lot of discrimination for people who don't have a job at a young age, I am sure people can relate to this.

Well back in 2018 I was wandering around the pub aimlessly without a beer in my hand. That same guy called me over to his table and said infront of friends "We have seen you mooching around we think you look suspect"

You just added the bit about self-harming and telling lies, so I'll reply again.

Why would self-harming make people your enemy?
I'd imagine they either help you, or they become anxious and keep their distance.
That doesn't mean they are enemies.

Enemies are people who seek to hurt or weaken others.
Is that happening?
If it is, then there's even more reason you should consider making new friends.

Regarding the lies, why do you feel a need to lie about not working?
I thought you had a job.
Even if you don't, lying can usually be perceived by others.

Are you nervous about telling the truth about yourself and being judged?

Waiting for unreliable friends to turn up
