You just added the bit about self-harming and telling lies, so I'll reply again.

Why would self-harming make people your enemy?
I'd imagine they either help you, or they become anxious and keep their distance.
That doesn't mean they are enemies.

Enemies are people who seek to hurt or weaken others.
Is that happening?
If it is, then there's even more reason you should consider making new friends.

Regarding the lies, why do you feel a need to lie about not working?
I thought you had a job.
Even if you don't, lying can usually be perceived by others.

Are you nervous about telling the truth about yourself and being judged?

Yes I don’t want to tell the truth because they might have me even more

Try getting a barstool in future and read a newspaper or something

I have a habit of looking like I'm stalking prey when I'm wondering aimlessly

How many experiences like that have you had in bars and clubs altogether (including comments like those, getting into fights, and getting kicked out)? I’m just trying to understand.

I think you should look for other ways to meet people.

Maybe Jamesy is talking about societal enemies as an abstract with regards to the enemies he mentions (because of being unemployed).

Society can be fairly hostile to economically inactive folk. There can be a lot of discrimination for people who don't have a job at a young age, I am sure people can relate to this.

I disagree, especially if the person has a known disability or reason for not working. Of course some people might find it objectionable but not everyone, and I'd hope it's not the people Jamesy considers friends.

On that note there can also be discrimination against people for other reasons. It's common for people to discriminate against - or at least notice and be wary of - those who are disingenuous, or those who knowingly make others uncomfortable without attempting to modify their behaviour when given supportive advice.

I'm not saying this is happening for Jamesy but he seems to think it is, or he wouldn't have mentioned it as a reason for having "enemies".

Men don't have to be breadwinners in today's society.
That's a common misconception.
Most women work and are self-supporting.

I've had loads of fights in pubs and been kicked out but I never felt victimised like Jamesy seems to and I don't have a problem with it

Yeah, I’m just trying to demonstrate why he might want to branch out. If he’s going to the same bars and clubs, his chance of success would be about 0% because people talk, warn friends, etc.

I don’t understand why I am getting victimised. I never get angry or get into physical fights

I could’ve sworn you talked about getting kicked out for a fight a couple years ago.

You seem to mention a lot of comments too although you say that there haven’t been that many.

Can you think of other places you could meet people? Are there other things you like to do?

Tell me then why pubs are not great places to socialise? It’s called a public house for a reason

You wouldn't get victimised if you was out with me.

That's not an offer btw
