I remembered that you have a few threads in which you mentioned being called a pedophile. Some go back to 2018. Are you hearing it at the same bar and from the same people? I wouldn’t want to be around people who treated me that way.

^ Some people are nice to me when I go out though. Best to avoid the bad ones

No, I think his logic only applies to a small portion of women that most of us would be better off not even bothering to get to know.

Yep, considering the degree of influence that genetics has on this, it's hard for me to believe that women aren't willing to date us. Women may be less wiling to date us, but keep in mind that there are also ND women out there, so it's probably more of a grey area than it might at first appear.

What types of med are you on, Jamesy?

Setraline, propranolol and ariprazole. Occasionally I take lorazapam to

Is the Propranolol for anxiety or do you have a heart condition?

^ I am fairly certain he has mentioned before that he takes that med for anxiety, as well as the others he mentions.

That's what I thought. I was just double-checking.

If the meds seem to have lost efficacy I hope Jamesy will talk to his GP or mental health care provider. Sometimes a dosage adjustment might be needed, or they might try a different brand of one of the medications. It's not safe to quit cold turkey. His anxiety would probably skyrocket, but it would also put a lot of stress on his body chemistry if discontinued abruptly.

Changes should always be titrated with the help of a medical professional.

Counseling might also be helpful if he’s not already doing it. A counselor could help with social stuff related to the pub scene and relationships too.

I agree. I assumed he already has a counsellor if he's on three mental health medications, but if he doesn't it would be very advisable.

Is there anyway I could prevent my anxiety from skyrocketing if I had to come of the meds

I think that’s something you would need to talk to your doctor about. Did they say you might have to come off them?
