It might be worth trying to figure out what particular factors contribute to you getting hangovers because they're not the same for everyone. If thirst is typical of your hangovers there's a good chance dehydration is a big factor. Because you spend the whole night pissing a lot you lose water-soluable vitamins and minerals along with all the water, that might make Gatorade or similar helpful.

Drinks with a lot of congeners tend to cause worse hangovers for some people, but most beers are fairly low in them (compared to red wine, brandy or rum). Vodka has the least of them.

Hair-of-the-dog (drinking to delay hangover) is a good way to encourage addiction, so I would advise against it.



I didn't know this about vodka. It is my favourite spirit.

I used to drink it more often, now I mostly buy beer.
