Can I just point something out?

I only know Jamesy through the time I've spent on this forum. In that time, I've learned that he lives at home, doesn't have a job, doesn't drive, works out a few times a week with weights, plays video games, goes drinking regularly, wanders the city at night, and sometimes does drugs like weed, ketamine, or cocaine.

Even big cities have small communities, and communities talk among themselves. Jamesy has been going to his bar, and hanging out with is "associates", for quite a long time. Bars tend to have well-known regulars. So odds are, the other bar patrons know Jamesy's drug-partaking friends, and what they do, and what he does with them. If me, a random stranger on the internet knows these things, I feel like the very people he socializes with in real life must know at least the same.

I get the "imma cool dude, pass the bong" vibe y'all was going for earlier, but does nobody else really see the issue here? The guy with no job, no money, and who's hobbies include recreational cocaine and ketamine, wonders why women won't give him a chance...

No offense to Jamesy, not saying he's a bad guy - but regardless of what kinda guy he is, those things are gonna be hard to get past, and I can't imagine they're a very well kept secret. It has been my experience that people are generally wary of associating with someone who may or may not have a drug habit.

But hey, maybe I'm wrong. Let me ask. Ladies, who here would befriend or date a guy who occasionally does hard drugs like cocaine and ketamine, in addition to regular alcohol use?

Again, not trying to bash anyone - just trying to make a point. Y'all can fuss about looks and money all you want - but crap like this often lurking in the background, overlooked or dismissed or ignored, despite it being a highly relevant factor. It's always "muh height" or "muh looks" or "muh money" or "muh autism" - but dig deep enough, and there's usually something else - an attitude problem, a drug problem, a self-control problem, an anger problem, some kinda actual problem, other than just "I'm not sexy enough".

I think most people who have read this thread will have been aware of most of what you have said, even if they haven't said it explicitly, perhaps due to not wanting to upset Jamesy or to appear rude.

But yes, there seem to be very valid reasons for Jamesy not getting any interest from women, I would agree.

Jamesy has said he is on disability benefits.

I think there are some women on this forum who have mentioned they claim disability and have partners, so I would say his drug habit and alcohol drinking seem more of a red flag than those characteristics, as well as his seeming social problems, what with the inappropriate behaviour with women and so on in the pubs/clubs he has mentioned.

Well, not necessarily, but drinking does seem to be one of your few interests. It is best to fan out and have more things going on than just that and video games.

I think that is probably a good thing. You probably shouldn't advertise to women that you have done class A drugs however. Well, most women anyway - unless the women in question are into that kind of thing.

If I heard that a guy had dabbled in cocaine recently or had a nonchalant attitude about hard drugs, it would be a dealbreaker for me and a lot of women.

It’s best not to do them at all.

How often you have fun isn't a key consideration to people who are judgmental about how you have fun.

Or just filter people with that sort of attitude out of his life entirely.

I think it would be a lot worse if a guy were a regular user of drugs like Jamesy had mentioned, or worse, addicted to some of those drugs.

Don't you do weed anyway, TwilightPrincess?

I'm not trying to diminish your position on this matter in any way, but I didn't imagine you to be a prohibition type before what you have just said.

Weed and cocaine are two very different things. I use weed to help with my PTSD symptoms on occasion.

Oh right, yeah, I know weed can be used medicinally. I have nothing against weed personally.
