Yes, Guns N' Roses! Another related one: Velvet Revolver.

It was just those three bands over and over for years. Songs like "Unskinny Bop," "Fall to Pieces" and "Welcome to the Jungle" live in my head rent free.

A mysterious, confident, masculine man with quiet charisma.

She gotta know how to handle a pair of spring onions, although leeks are a tolerable substitute.

^ Fantastic!

For me, it largely boils down to having fast reflexes and not startling easy. I can be a bit spooky.

That sure sounds like an autistic dude who doesn't talk very much because he's busy thinking about space or ranking Looney Toons characters based off their ability to lead a cult.

I find excitability and optimism combined with not wanting to actually do anything very attractive. Dichotomy is key. Also I love doing nothing.

Well no one will believe me because it does not match as to what is conventionally attractive. But I suppose I will say anyways.....I like a chubby guy with a beard that is the look I like.

Idk I just like my boyfriend and he does not look like anything I imagined, like for sure I had ideas of how my potential boyfriend may look and I did not necessarily envision big red beard beast looking guy being my boyfriend but he sure is and well I like his big crazy beard.

He would look very different without it...lol but I will probably never see as when we started dating he said the beard is not negotiable. lol.

OH I messed up a beard is a physical trait, so what I mean is my boyfriend is good at painting warhammer and turnip minatures and that is super cool.

If you want to know what turnip means look up turnip 28 that is all I will say about that.

I'm not going to look up what turnip miniatures actually are. I'd prefer to just imagine your bf painting tiny little turnips.

Nope. Not watching. He paints little turnips. But I haven't decided whether he paints very small pictures of turnips, or if he paints on the actual tiny turnips, like those people who etch things on grains of rice.

I think you might get a pass on that because a beard is a chosen physical trait so it's kind of like a part of his personality. My bf also has a beard, but it's long and skinny and gray, like a wizard. I wasn't looking for a bearded bf either, but it's definitely a bonus!

^^^ I went for the long skinny with the idea of plaiting it and having everyone address me as "Venerable"....ROFL.
Damned thing developed a mind of its own and made strange shapes inside a mask.

The thing that works best on me is the right smile.
It generally indicated someone can actually see me.

Smiles are interesting because, like eyes, they're objectively a physical trait but they somehow communicate so much more than simply 'smiling'.

I guess what I'm saying is: I'll allow it.

As for beards, I'm not so sure. Yes, it's a choice to have one and that speaks to someone's personality but you could say the same thing about the decision to have, for example, breast enlargements.

I wasn't claiming beards...it was a response only.
The smile I should have explained better.
I have a hard time remembering static faces. I tend to identify people by (usually facial) movements. When I say smile I mean the verb , as in the transition from not smiling to smiling.
It's like an emotional thumbprint. The mouth it's on may or may not be attractive, but the fact that it signifies identification makes it attractive to me.

Having written that....I seem weird weirder.

No bee33 suggested beards get a pass as a non-physical trait. I haven't ruled on it yet. I'm just not convinced so far.

What you wrote there about remembering facial movements - I've written more or less exactly the same thing elsewhere on WP. I can't remember a whole face for the life of me, but I too remember small facial movements. I can remember my partner's transition to a smile the first time I saw it 25 years ago.

It's also why I struggle to evaluate how attractive someone is from a still picture. I need to see their face move.
